Check yourself Dammit!

For the life of me I cannot fathom how some members of the human race think and act like its OK to just be inappropriate in the most inappropriate of places.Most of the time I refuse to see the annoying behaviors and act a fool but yesterday my ignore button was just not cooperating. I am in the lift with about seven other people when this man and woman decide their conversation was too hot to put a pause on. They do a quick scan in the lift and conclude nobody can understand their mother tongue, their conversation is too graphic if not horrid they are talking about some meat they ate and how they ended up having running stomachs. the young woman goes on to say how she had taken sleeping pills only to be woken up by a stinging slap on her face from her boyfriend because she had pooped in the bed! I watched the faces of two elder men crease as she went on to graphically paint the picture.. Now get this this is lunch hour most people have come from lunch they are not trying to hear your disgusting poop story. They get off the lift and the rest of  the people in the lift shake their heads twist their noses and sigh with relief.

I am barely seated for ten minutes when am alerted by the receptionist that I have a guest. My guest walks into my office all noisy. " hey gal! I love your office! wait! you cut your hair? don't just sit there like a zombie get up and hug me!" I half hardheartedly give my guest a hug and usher her to take a seat. She starts to go on and on about what she has been up to all this time emptying the contents of her handbag on my desk one by one. My stomach start to get knots and am feeling nauseated I can actually smell my disgust..oh wait it's not my disgust it's her feet!! This young woman actually thinks it is OK to remove her smelly shoes in my office! "Nimeitwa kadate ivi nasi kua nimejitengeneza poa nikaona nikam apa nijifix chap chap!(I have been invited for a date and I was not dolled up so I decided to come here and fix myself up real quick)" Wow! I could not believe that she actually thought it was OK to appear without calling first and start dolling herself up in my office without asking me if it was OK!! normally I would just let her do it and act a fool but today I was going to say something. She changes her sweater wears fresh make up and changes shoes too then she gets up to leave. I look at her smiling and say "Kindly call next time you want to drop by and doll yourself up. I will make the washroom keys available to you. enjoy your date."

I am about to leave the office in an about an hour or so. I decide to pour myself some tea in the office kitchen. I walk past one of my female colleague's desk and I see her clenching her fist and wearing an angry look on her face.It did not take me long to discover what was causing her to get upset.There is an extension cable that sits under her desk, she has a phone charger plugged in into it. I see one of our visiting consultants raise from under her desk ! he felt it was a appropriate for him to get down there and plug his phone into her charger! He stood to find angry eyes fixed upon him and all he did was smile and walk away to his desk!! My thirst was instantly quenched! I turn around and go back into my office. I start to pack up and clear my desk as I am about to leave. My phone rang, it was my best friend on the line. I ask her to give me five minutes I will call her back. I quickly write  a memo about inappropriate behaviour in the office and circulated it to all employees and consultants. I could not allow myself to be silent about it.

I call my best friend back and shes just spitting venom. I ask her to take a deep breathe and start from the top telling me why she was upset. she starts to narrate how last evening they received some unexpected guests,she goes on to tell me the guests were  a certain guy I know and his girlfriend. apparently she had to go back and make something more as the food she had prepared for dinner was only enough for her and her husband. she fed her guest and before they even emptied their plates they walked into her kitchen to get seconds! she was shocked but she let it slide. Upon clearing the table she comes back to the living room to find this guy engaging her husband in a conversation about going out to buy liquor! apparently he volunteered to go get the liquor but he asked his host to give him the money for it! Her husband gave him some and told him to top up the rest. After  the couple had had a few drinks ,it was time for them to leave. The couple stood up and said thank you to their hosts but when they got to the door the lady came back for what was left of the liquor! I was upset by just listening to the ill manners this guest portrayed! who goes to someone's house in the middle of week unannounced and empty handed then eat all their food force them to buy you liquor and then even carry that liquor!

My best friend goes like "Kaempress am not even as upset about last night as I am right now! this lady from last night has just called me to tell me if I keep cooking like that I will send people to their graves!the arrangement in my house also is unsightly and unwelcoming it almost looks like cave!'' say what now?? people need to check themselves dammit!!
