Ask Jesus

It's one of those chilly mornings and I woke up feeling nostalgic. After my morning prayer and work out I get into the shower, I start to smile sheepishly and then burst into a loud laugh. My mind had wondered off to a time spent with one of my nieces. " Jesus had a thing for donkeys right? Even before azaliwe alifanya mamake akalie donkey. When he was narrating about the Good Samaritan he spoke of a donkey and finally when he rode into Jerusalem for the last time he used a donkey. Why." ) before I could answer her I was laughing my head off. I could not wrap my mind around how she came up with that thought.

I attempted to answer her given that many things Jesus did were mysterious and I had not studied theology. I explained to her that Jesus taught in action by how he lived. He preferred the donkey as it was a beast of burden and Jesus  unlike other Kings He carries all our burdens. My response was not elaborate enough but it gave me something to ponder on. This young lady was not done questioning me though. "Why did Jesus hate pigs? He never said anything good about them and he sent demons into them,did He eat Pork by the way?" At this point I wanted to suggest we watch a movie so she gets distracted and forgets her need for answers but the look she gave me I knew she would not let it go. 'Sins cause us to be dirty in God's eyes,they make us unrepresentable to God. Jesus does not hate pigs they were created by His father but He wanted to demonstrate  what sin does to us humans. when we indulge in sin we look like pigs! filthy ! I however don't know if he ate pork. " I answered her deep in thought about it. Before I could even say anything else she asked " We are told the bible has all the answers. can u check if Jesus ate pork?"  I nod my head in an attempt to end this Theology class but it is futile.
I walk to the kitchen to get some tea and she goes like " Jesus was a mlevi? (Jesus was a drunk?) he spoke of vineyards,He turned water into wine and on the last supper He fed His disciples wine n bread." At this point am laughing so hard I spill my tea. What goes on in this young girl's mind? the kind of questions she was pinning on me were not mainstream and all I have are mainstream answers. I was so challenged but all I could say " Jesus was no drunk darling." .... 'By the way auntie Was Jesus on a diet? the bible only talks about him eating fish,bread and wine. I need to ask Him about his diet"....
